IDW Tailgate reuniting with his Cybertronian SO after being stuck in the hole for 3 million years, only to find out they're a member of the DJD :)
(IDW1/MTMTE) Tailgate reuniting with his Cybertronian S/O, who happens to be a member of the DJD:
{You assumed he was dead, plan and simple. Before Tailgate left, the two of you never managed to create a spark bond, so you can’t really check through that.}
{You’d already comm’d him a bunch of times in the past, and got no response, and so you simply got rid of his comm line- you figured since he was gone, no since in keeping that.}
{When Tailgate learned of the whole war, it was a lot to take in, but he was also worried about you. Were you okay? Did you survive any of that? Where were you? He tries to comm you, but nothing happens.}
{It’s more of a private and sudden encounter that the two of you have, thankfully without the rest of the DJD.}
{You’d both been on your own separate walks, when you run into each-other. You immediately recognize him, and he immediately recognizes you, even if there are some changes.}
{You both just have the reaction of “I thought you were dead???” but are both relieved- who wouldn’t be? Tailgate starts explaining to you what had happened to him/where’d gone, while you listen.}
{He then ends up asking if you want to come back with him- he’s just so happy to see you again, and he’s sure the others would like to be introduced, he’s talked about you a lot.}
{While it does sound nice... you decline, while also asking him to call you a different name (your DJD name). You do want to go with your Conjunx... but you can’t just leave the DJD.}
{For you, everything goes back to normal... except occasionally thinking about him- and you really do want to go back to him. You don’t want to hurt him (especially during that whole battle), but you can’t leave/betray the DJD... you already know what happened to the last person who did.}
{When Tailgate actually fully learns about the DJD, and learns that you’re among them, he panics. He knew that you were a ‘Con (thanks to your insignia), but he didn’t think/realize that you were apart of this group. He wonders why you joined them.}
{He just wants you back- he sees you after so so long, and now he’s learned this.}
