In Chicago's Logan Square area, there is a little bar called Bonnies. Bonnies where basement party meets dark make out cave. Its dimly lit, the floor is sticky,it smells weird and its open till 5 in the morning. For the past 2 years this gritty little gem has served as the backdrop for some of the most raging parties, amazing moments, amazing people and lots of good and bad decisions. I was fortune enough to be the person in charge of booking the DJs and spinning the Saturday night parties from 10-5am and it has been quite a ride. Due to some unpleasantness with the crazy landlord Bonnies will be closing its doors as of Saturday for good. Regretfully, I am out of the country unable to have one last banger of a night at Bonnies. It feels like im missing a dear friends funeral & im sad to see it go. However,I am glad that over the past 2 years, i got to interact with so many wonderful and interesting people. It was a pleasure be part of what will no doubt be looked back on as 2 legendary years in the biggest little bar in L-squeezy.
Andy ,Mandi Tandy,Uby,Rhode, Ed,revolving cast of door guys,bartenders,owners i never got to see.Jenelle jenelle's cookies,people fucking in the bathroom,raging muscle bound guy who beat up the hipster,Dommel, Kate, 20 bucks i found,Lemonade on tap discovered after 2 years,amazing dancer dude, All the bad dancers,carlos,lani ,travis mikey,fess johnny,Matt K,celebrity sightings, crazy girl who tried to say she slept with me to get drinks, The black out with Carlos and i spinning by candle light. DONT PUT DRINKS ON THE GODAMNED BOOTH,NO I DONT DO REQUESTS! shirtless crowd surfing.The lost and found filled with half of melissa and suzies wardrobe. Impromptu Ralph By Ralphwest music festival featuring Dave Nada,Willy Joy,Skinny Friedman. best ladies bathroom graffiti on the mirror "Bitch you Pretty!" & finally anyone and everyone that supported me & the Bonnys family over the past 2 years ....
