!! you might be interested in the stone tape theory, its kind of the idea that the environment holds impressions and acts as a medium to record the things that have occurred there in the same way you could record an event through a tape recorder, with ghosts or hauntings a kind of 'replay' of these events that have become trapped in a building or particular place. you might know it already but that ask you answered about hauntings just reminded me of it !
Oh my god yeah I know the stone tape theory I love it so much since that’s exactly how I feel!! I’m trying to find a way to incorporate it in my senior capstone for next year at the moment as it’s about industrial accidents in factory buildings and the role buildings took in them without my advising professor getting too sus so we’ll see 🙈
