Du Jour RP Task 003 | Birthday Wishes

While their origins are all but unknown, Birthday wishes are a common tradition. It doesn't matter if you're five, twenty five of fifty. Blow out the candles and make a wish everyone.

Write about your character's last birthday wish. If they didn't make a wish, write about why. This can be posted as a text or photo post, and it certainly doesn't have to be long.

While it is easy to do, it would be foolish to define the New Year as full erasure of our past. We are products of our accomplishments and our mistakes, our pride and our regret. At the beginning of the month, I asked you to write a list of your New Year's resolutions, but this year I would like you to write a letter to me about who you are now and who you were as a child, describing how you've changed. I want to thank you for giving me the best day of my life Oh just to be with you is having the best day of my life 

Given that several of you are American, I find it trifling no one attempted to orchestrate a celebration for the Thanksgiving holiday that passed just days ago. Certainly there must be something for which you are thankful. I would love to know what it is, so in a genuine letter to me, please share for what you are thankful. Please write this letter before Saturday, 7 December at 11:59pm EST, and turn it in to the table in the front hall with the words 'djtask8' written across it.

I must say that I do applaud you. I applaud you, dear friend, because I have never been more impressed by anyone's inability to write a letter.

I did not believe it too difficult a task, but you have proven me wrong. Do not fret, however, because I have found a new task for you, and I made sure not to require you to write a letter this time. Your new task is to sleep outside in the garden until the end of this week on 29 November. I do hope the chill does not get to you.
