So,,, I was watching 50 questions with Aiming (basically, an introduction for DK enjoyers) and he said that he liked Eternal Return? And (sort of) put on the same line as MapleStory??
Like... I did not exactly made a research on this topic but I remember only two comparably famous people who played ER/invested in this game's non-existant popularity - IKeepItTaco (and I think back then Taco played in duo with someone, Vienna maybe?) and later MythyMoo. AND I've never met a person irl who would even have heard about this game.
It makes sense for a korean game to be more popular in Korea, but still. In my expirience pre-release non-asian ER was uninhabited except during peak hours and after official release it became better, but it is, in fact, still not popular. ER is not bad and its community is very passionate. It just didn't blow up.
It was a pleasant surprise, Mr. Aiming. I will be sure to keep an eye on your variety streams 👀
Now, thinking about it, ER is comfortable for LoL players to adapt to in movement/combat because of very similar system.
