not sure if someone said this already but kinning in its current meaning is usually when a person believes they are that character literally. like they so strongly identify that they take on that character’s traits, personality, etc. some even say they are a reincarnation of that character. in my opinion, it’s really weird but apparently it is a coping mechanism for many.
