Days Longer Than Long Pork Sausages by Gabriel Corbera
yeah, man, this is the kinda book for me. 'Days Longer Than Long Pork Sausages' (or DLTLPS) by spanish cartoonist Gabriel Corbera. Two hardcore dudes on a seemingly endless trek through a dangerous and and abandoned dungeon. Peril is at every turn, joy is fleeting, and the remnants of a forgotten day are everywhere; salvaged for a meager bite to eat or for fuel or weapon. Corpses rot, spirits haunt, the trek is a long journey; possibly endless. How long have these men been lost? Will they ever get out? No one knows, but we do know they like to flex their massive neck muscles in rage a lot.
This book is deep, far deeper than I will ever fathom. Visiting and revisiting only reveals its poetry more and more. "I can easily picture these paws choking hens without remorse," and "a bard amongst fishers, looking for words like a sentinel regarding bats in the night." are phrases that haunt me for days after reading this tome, which should have been bound in bones and skin but that's illegal.
The publisher, space face books, is putting out some serious avant garde and brain blasting skronk comix of the kind I crave. If you're smart, go buy this book and their whole catalog. Gabriel's other minis are worth a look to, shipped in an affordable and timely manner from Spain. These books I dig, oh yes.

I wrote about Gabriel Corbera's anti-existentialist "Days Longer Than Long Pork Sausages", where the world is not what you make it.
