hiii I love your fics (dad making a difference hasn't been updated in two years, I would love to see it continued but I understand if it's not possible haha 😅) but im really wondering how you got the idea for fom? yeah it is just a small change that you made with Kimblee and archer finding ed and Al instead, but I have NO CLUE where you would have gotten this idea from or how you would have come up with it. pray do tell!!

Gawwwsh, DMAD is the type of series that just nestles straight in my heart. I’m due to update it/write the next instalment and have the skeleton formed but need to slap some meat on it. I will get my ass in gear and give you a update once FoM is done (I’m hoping before summer but life loves to throat punch me at times).  💖Thank you so much though!!! This will mean I'll have to drag Boredom out of her Star Wars fandom kickin' and screaming.

Nah, I know what you mean, at its current point things are small change e.g. Archie boy and Kimbo snatchin’ up  a two-limbed runt. To be fair, the bulk of this fic was just an excuse for Ed to bond with Riza and Roy before being tossed in the meat grinder of life and then get some much needed comfort again. But I do have other very small changes dotted about, some that people won’t really care about or ping on a radar, and others yanking forward parts of the timeline. 🤣

😩As for the idea? Aw, man. I honestly have no idea. When I began FoM I spent most my times up electrical poles or wiring properties and I’d just day dream while trying not to get electrocuted. I think it was less a thought and more of a motive: ‘’How can I twist things up and make things worse but focus on how twisted the Amestris government/military is while also only creating hurt so I can write comfort?’’

Above all, the child soldier plotline doesn’t get delved into enough, despite being a ‘military dog’ for Ed is the sheer backbone of FMA.

Durante a realização da Conferência Processos de Criação 2025, que decorreu entre 4 e 5 de dezembro de 2025, na UALG, apresentei a comunicação " projeto cruel summer - média arte e território". O abstract da comunicação, apresentado e aprovado, para a conferencia, foi o seguinte:

Este projeto parte da premissa de que a Média-Arte Digital (MAD), quando associada a uma mensagem ou a uma causa, pode assumir um papel interventivo e de consciencialização. Cruel Summer – média, arte e território investiga de que forma a MAD, com ênfase na fotografia, pode contribuir para registar, documentar, divulgar e aprofundar o conhecimento sobre um território específico: o Algarve. Esta região, nas últimas décadas, tem sido projetada e desenvolvida sobretudo como destino turístico sazonal e continua, em grande medida, a ser percecionada dessa forma.

Recorrendo à investigação baseada na prática artística — entendida como uma abordagem criativa e metodológica —, em articulação com outros métodos e instrumentos, como a a/r/cografia, o projeto estabelece dois objetivos principais:

Aprofundar o conhecimento sobre o território algarvio e a forma como ele é percecionado. Para isso, será utilizada a deambulação, inspirada em práticas como a psicogeografia e a deriva de Guy Debord. Esta abordagem visa gerar novas narrativas visuais que transcendam o simples registo documental, promovendo outras visões e uma compreensão mais ampla da fruição estética do território.

Criar artefactos artísticos, com destaque para a videoarte Cruel Vídeo, promovendo a sua exposição pública e difusão em meios digitais, de modo a ampliar o acesso do público em geral. O objetivo é estimular a reflexão sobre o Algarve e a sua condição ambígua, marcada pela sobrelotação turística e pela desertificação resultante da sazonalidade que condiciona a economia, a cultura e o modo de vida locais.

O projeto procura também analisar as escolhas metodológicas e artísticas, com o objetivo de propor uma visão de processo criativo que combina diferentes suportes e uma metodologia híbrida, inspirada na psicogeografia, entendida como forma de mapear e conhecer mais profundamente um território.
