it was something you didn’t expect, a hand written letter. he would always told you how much you meant to him via text. but this this was something completely different… he’d taken the time out of his day to write this by hand and send it off hoping it would reach you. for some reason this felt special.

i don’t know when or if this will reach you, my love. i want you to know that even though we can’t spend time together often nor look like we have anything to do with each other in public just know that i love you with all my heart. i long to hold you in my arms once again, my love.

i miss you. is it strange that all i can think about is you when we have so little memories? i know that this distance hurts us both, my love, but i’m just trying to keep you safe and keep the stress of my life off of your shoulders. we will be together soon. i promise.

i promise you the world. i will keep you safe, i will keep you happy, i will keep you fed, i will make you feel loved, i’ll give you whatever you want, my love.

i cant help but think about our future and what it will look like. will we have kids? will we just be a couple that lives out the rest of their days travelling the world and seeing what it has to offer? or will you come to fear me? that’s my biggest worry. that you’ll fear me.

there’s reasons why i keep things from people, my love. i’m terrified that you will not accept certain parts of me.

many see me as a beast but you, you love me. i don’t know why, you’re so perfect. many idolise you and i am no different. you never fail to sweep me off of my feet and snatch my breath. there was so many things about you that i can’t help but adore. here’s not the place to worship you, my love.

he’s been up for a while, scrolling through his phone, staring at the ceiling, staring at you. he’s never been good at sleeping, especially since he became Amon. the blood, gore, the fear forever engraved in his mind and it never seems to go away. sometimes the thoughts, the nightmares get to be so much he feels like he’s suffocating.

until he looks over. seeing you, a literal angel snuggled up next to him, gripping his shirt in your hands. your face is peaceful, calm and completely undisturbed. he’s amazed— and a bit jealous. he’s amazed at how quickly you can fall asleep dispute everything. he’s never able to understand how you can fall asleep next to a demon and feel so unbothered. that’s love, he guesses.

you rouse a bit in your sleep, shifting yourself and snuggling into his warmth a bit longer. it’ms always super cold this time of year. “you starin’ at me again, Aki?”

“you act like I do this every morning.” he scoffs, bringing you a bit closer to him so he can rub your back.

you coo, kissing his chest through the cotton shirt he’s wearing. it’s a little too cold in this apartment for the both of you. “you do!”

“whatever” he chuckles, honestly a little too tired to think of a comeback. it’s quiet again— the hustle and bustle of the city below and the soft white noise on the tv all the was heard. you press a few kisses to his neck, heart nearly bursting at the way he tried to suppress his giggle from you touching such a negative spot.

“are you hungry?” hands untangling from his shirt to move to his hair. it’s soft, and smells a bit like the autumn season in a coffee shop.

“a little, yeah” he feels your body move to get up and he tenses. “no!!! don’t get up i wanna stay here you’re really warm.”

“okay but sooner or later we have to get up, okay?”

“fine whatever you say just kiss me some more.”

akira is the type to give his baby flowers. i like to think his love language is physical touch, but somedays he can’t be with you all the time. so he’ll stop at the little florists down the road, or head to a field and pick you some flowers. i also think it doesn’t matter if you just ate and you’re not hungry. he’s hungry, so he’ll go pick up something for the both of you to eat. something greasy and a lot of it, too. he’ll sit up late with you, eating and laughing, stealing a bit of your food when you’re not looking. i also hc he’s not the best sleeper. it takes him a minute to fall asleep at night, regardless of how tired he is from the day. when he does finally fall asleep, his head pressed against the curve of your neck, he might wake up for no reason, or from nightmares. it’s gonna take him a minute to fall back asleep again. he’s too busy watching your eyelashes flutter on your cheeks. 

ryo, however, is the complete opposite. he’s in love with you but he’s less prone to showing this. he’ll get flowers, but he’ll send the anonymously through a third party site. you’ll come up to him like “baby someone sent me flowers! they didn’t sign the card though🥺” “how bizarre 😐” . he claims he doesn’t like cuddling with you, because you make him hot, but in the middle of the night he wakes up and finds himself wrapping his arms around you and burying his face in your back. he dotes on you in the way that he wants you to take care of yourself and he’s pissed when you don’t. you haven’t eaten? he’s cooking you food and making you eat it. you haven’t had water all day? he shoves a water bottle in your hand and glares at you until you drink it. he’s your lil sugar daddy🥰 he’ll buy you a matching coat like his when he sees you wearing his around the house. he’ll buy you jewels, clothes, anything you could possibly want.
