DMC OC WEEK DAY 1: Introduction

Ripley is a grim reaper—a demonic entity "born" from death—and far more powerful than other demons resembling "traditional" reapers. Embodying the patient and melancholy aspects of death, deep down, they desire to learn if they, too, can live.

I've been waiting soooo long for dmc oc week to come back as I properly established Ripley right after the previous year's week. I'll keep day one short and simple on this side of things because all their info is a bit lengthy. That said, if you're curious about them, I have a carrd here with all their info!

Round 3… START!

You guys know what time it is. Its time for round 3 of DMC OC Week :D

We were a little late this year, sorry bout that but shit happens yah know? But we're here now and have a new set of date for you all based on community feed back :D

Tumblr really was like what if we did both lol So we had to chose a happy medium between the two.

Now that you all have those let's get into what everyone will be needing :3

What do you need to know?

The event for this year will be taking place from November 13th - November 19th Both on Twitter and here on Tumblr

Feel free to post wherever you like, even on both platforms if you prefer. However if your worried about time, please don't :3 At least not too much :p It's ok if you can't get everything done in time. Just share what you can, when you can during this time period and we'll make sure to get it out there for people to see.

We'll most likely still be sharing stuff a little while after the event is done so don't feel pressured to churn stuff out :)

What you'll need?

You can write in these, insert art, or even a little bit of both. It's totally up to you so just go where your imagination takes you.

Here’s a little something for dmc oc week.

Name: Fairuza (True name sealed away 2,000 years ago-Nivalis)

Age: 2,300+ years

Height: 184 cm (a touch over 6’0)

Weight: 68 kg (approximately 150 lbs)

Species: Dragonian demon

Fairuza belonged to a very small group of enigmatic beings called “Dragonians”. Back in those days she was better known as Nivalis the ethereal frost and one of Mundus’ terrible generals. After the dark knight, Sparda defeated the demon emperor, Nivalis was stripped of her name and sealed away by the last two remaining dragonians. Her crime was the destruction of most of her clan, including her father, Bellicus the Infernal might. When she was sealed away, most of her memories were sealed as well. She slumbered for a millennia before her tomb was moved elsewhere and subsequent awakening…

Fairuza utilizing the Bellicus devilarm gauntlets. A power she cannot use simultaneously with her innate primordial ice powers. This is but a fraction of Bellicus true primordial flame abilities. It can pose a threat to Fairuza if she is reckless. The utility of this devilarm is connected to her will. If there were a situation where her resolve were to falter…

DMC OC Week 2023 Day 6: Family and Background

Man, I really need more art of this fucker, don't I? The image is relevant though, I swear.

Ah well, here's the next post for @dmc-oc-week-specialedition! Admittedly I probably focused more on his background in Day 3's prompt, so this is more about his family really, but it's fiiiiiine. Tomorrow's prompt will definitely make up for it though, so look forward to it!

When they were still alive, Avalon had a good relationship with his parents. They both cared for him and did their best when it came to raising him. While he didn’t tell them everything, there was no denying that he loved them and they loved him back. While there were some things he never told them, it was mostly due to his introverted nature and teenage anxieties. His deaths hit him extremely hard, especially since he witnessed his mothers death with his own eyes, and the fact that the truth behind their deaths (along with the rest of the casualties of the Red Grave attack) were kept hidden didn’t help matters. He never truly got over their deaths, with them driving his actions even decades later.

The only other family he really had afterwards was his grandparents, who took him in after the Red Grave attack. He never really found himself connecting to them, even before the incident. They weren’t terrible people, but he just wasn’t close to them like he was his parents. He kept up a good relationship with them though until they passed away from old age and made sure to keep in touch with them on a regular basis. Mostly to keep up the idea that nothing was going wrong and he was absolutely fine.

DMC OC Week 2023: Day 4 - Likes, Dislikes, & More!

Vigilex may just be a fish, but a fish also enjoys things.

The Ocean/Sea: He's a fish, what more can you ask of him? It brings him calm but also invokes a deep sense of dread and allure that one may recieve from a very long hill that one could roll down, but be rolling for so long that they could pass out from centrifugal force.

Fashion: Having most of your life controlled and picked for you leaves little room for self-expression. In comes clothes and make-up! Vigilex's clay skin is perfect for painting all sorts of many wonderful colours, like blue!

Dislikes

Being the centre of Attention: Despite his whole... everything, he dislikes people staring. He loves sharing the spotlight, don't get him wrong, but being the only one is alienating; lonely.

Sparda: Being a demon less than 2000 years old means that one had to "grow up" after Sparda's rebellion, deep within the sapient depths of Devil Society it was ripe with propaganda against him. Sparda's departure from Hell also caused the Demon King's paranoia to grow and fester, reaking havoc on the lives of everyone around him, and being the pet project of one of the Royal Scientists didn't exactly mean good things for Vigilex.

Fears

Returning to what once was: Vigilex was a fish. For a while, he craved deeply to return to that ignoreance, but now he fears it may drive him mad. But what would a fish know of madness? What would a fish do knowing that, despite it's every effort, it's life could be ended without warning, without thought, without effort? What would a human, if they were elavated to that of a deity, only to be shrank back to a human and forgotten about? Could they just exist until they were needlessly wiped off the face of the ocean? How do you warn a fish of deitydom?

Weaknesses

Clay: Vigilex is made of clay, and if you have worked with clay, you would know that it is clay. Clay is easily dented, cut, and smacked around. Of course Vigilex has his devil magic that helps heal him to a certain degree, but only a certain degree. That's why he uses ranged weapons more than anything.

after vergil was called out to investigate spikes of demonic energy at the waerloga household only to discover a kid and his father way in over their heads, he agreed to give guidance on how to control guido's powers better in exchange for access to the archives at calvin's work place. from there the two fathers bonded over a mutal love of literature and became something akin to friends

Seraph, as the son of Dante, is connected in many ways to the entire cast of DMC. Instead of focusing on the obvious, though, I decided to draw a little training session between him and Nero. Half-demon cousins!
