Doctor Edward Iplier never truly thought that he’d be in such a dire position. He befriended Dark years back, though those are foggy memories, and now he’s one of the legs of the party. The power of life and death weighs heavily on a soul.
WOAH an actual lore post? Wild!
Anyway friends :’) I wrote this up and I hope you all enjoy! -Aspen
Five years.
Five, long drawn out years.
Five years of failure, five years of attempt after attempt.
One year of it working.
The sun was slowly rising, filling the dark room and showering the robotic torso and the doctor in front of it in the rays.
The doctor had been working tirelessly for an ally. For someone they could truly trust and truly rely on. Humans had proven useless to them, and tieflings.. A huge no go, despite a close friend being infernal.
Androids were the way to go, that was something the doctor was sure of. Each day it was getting closer, each day the blue robot would be closer to completion. Closer to perfection.
And today, the doctor was powering the bot on for the first time since the experiments with circuit boards.
They took one step back and moved to press the switch on- a small blue button right below the ‘ear’. The android was made to look human, and in the doctor’s eyes they would be able to pass perfectly.
The eyes opened, and time felt like it froze. The doctor stood there, overjoyed with their creation. It worked, and the doctor could rest.
The android opened their eyes, the brilliant blue lighting up as the circuits began working. They stretched their arms and reached out, experimenting with the arms they were given.
“What.. is this?” The android asked, looking to the doctor.
The doctor wiped away their tears and smiled, wide and proud. “Existence, my friend. Welcome to the world.”
The android tilted their head, pointing to themselves, “And what am I?”
“My perfect creation,” the doctor moved forward to wrap their arms around the torso, “Your name is Google.”
“Google..” The android whispered, looking to the doctor hugging them.
In the dimly lit room, the android held the doctor and let them weep.
