love to hate you is such a fun kdrama! there are a few lil storylines that frustrated me or i found a bit cringey but overall i loved it! it's honestly so much fun seeing a romcom kdrama w a badass female lead. yeo mi-ran could beat me up & i'd thank her 🤷♀️
spoiler rant below!!! i'll try to keep it brief
the main thing i wasn't big on was the second romance between kang-ho and mi-ran's friends, won-jun & na-eum. they were cute and all, but i feel like it was a bit forced and wasn't really given proper time to develop. even them getting together felt rlly tacked on at the end - like they realised last minute they needed a conclusion for their storyline - plus the way won-jun asked na-eum out was super cringey 😭 public proposals and the like give me major ick (sorry, kang-ho, your proposal was v sweet but v public)
one thing i've noticed as a trend in certain kdramas is in the last episode, normally within the last half hour or even the last five minutes, they'll create needless drama by breaking the couple up or having SOME drama/misunderstanding that causes doubt in their relationship (business proposal i'm looking at you) - and i get WHY - it's a drama, after all - but it just always feels so unnecessary and it could've been avoided w communication or common sense (like idk, not going out on dates in public places together when you're meant to be broken up)
anyway. other than that i loved it.
