𝐋𝐨𝐫𝐞;

Do'Shavir was the third born to a merchant family in Orcrest, Elsweyr. He started dreaming of adventure from a young age, and his dreams were often encouraged, especially by his youngest sister. After she passed away from an illness, Do'Shavir worked hard to support his family and even set up his own stall to sell wares on the side. Once he made enough money, he purchased his own sword, then set off into the world shortly after, promising to send letters and money back to his family. For several years, Do'Shavir found work in the Fighters Guild in Cyrodiil, and he was relatively happy. Eventually, however, he was blamed for an incident that wasn't his fault, and he had no choice but to leave the guild. He headed north into Skyrim and heard rumours about the Companions. He tracked them down to Whiterun and joined them, much to Vilkas' chagrin. Despite the general distrust of strangers they held towards him at first, he proved himself and is well liked within the Companions, even among the more disgruntled members. He kept his word about writing home, which he does often when he has the time.

𝐄𝐱𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐬;

♘ Do'Shavir makes an appearance in my sequel fanfiction, Breathless, in Chapter 3, Missing. He also appears in the subsequent Chapter 4, The Hunt. ♘ While out for a job in Darkwater Crossing, Do'Shavir was kidnapped and taken to Helgen along with Ulfric and several Stormcloaks. He is traumatised by the destruction he witnessed there and has a fear of fire. ♘ Due to his experience at Helgen, he was sent out by Farengar to retrieve the Dragonstone at Bleak Falls Barrow, which he did successfully and brought back to him and Delphine. ♘ He still feels immense guilt over his youngest sister's death and often blame himself for her fate. ♘ In his flower crown, there's lavender, dragon's tongue, and tundra cotton. ♘ Do'Shavir is right-handed. ♘ His eyes are serpentine. ♘ He silently prays for those he has slaughtered, as he believes there was no choice. He wishes them safe passage to whatever afterlife they believe in. ♘ Some time before the events in Breathless, Do'Shavir and Agmaer banished the Pale Lady in Frostmere Crypt. ♘ Do'Shavir would be Ovaakhaad; trust, guide, oath.

✑ What class do they fall under? Anything they specialize in? (ex: Mage > Illusionist) Have they changed their class over their lifetime or stayed the same?

Ooo! Octeagan has always been a mage, as he had a talent for it at a young age. I go back and forth on what specific schools he specialises in, as I imagine he studied all of them out of boredom and need for knowledge. At the moment, I feel that he leans heavily on Illusion, Alteration, and Destruction. The first two especially because he's blind and often uses magic to help him perceive the world around him.

✑ When they cast magic, what’s their style? Are they flamboyant or reserved? Do they wave their hands around? Do they like making a show of it? Are they verbal? 

He's . . . I imagine he's actually very humbled and reserved in a way. He knows that he's one of the best to ever grace Tamriel, however he doesn't say it out loud. He'd rather show you why he is rather than tell you, especially because a lot of people doubt him anyway. He's quietly arrogant, if you will.

✑ What’s their lowest/weakest skill that could be a fatal flaw? Or what’s their biggest weakness?

Her hatred of furry animals, for one--dogs, specifically. She thinks they're mangy and stinky and disgusting. But in all seriousness, her inability to take criticism is pretty . . . terrible. It's gotten many people killed throughout most of her life WHEEZE. I guess that's just what happens when you're a crazy assassin that Sheogorath has had way too much fun fucking with . . . .

✑ Languages! How many do they speak? Are they literate?

UHHHH. I think she only speaks Tamrielic? If her parents ever taught her any of the Argonian language, she has long forgotten it--and would've forgotten purposefully, as she's the one that murdered them after being convinced that they were scheming against her. Aww, that makes me think that Veezara tries to teach her though when they meet. And yes, Shatha CAN read, which is . . . surprising, considering that she was also with bandits for a little bit. Perhaps she learned just so she can write cool stuff on bodies who knows LKJDFKLGJFDGL

✑ Regardless if something happened or not, which Aedra or Daedra would hate them the most, and why?

I want to initially say Akatosh because of certain events later, but I think in the end he gives Vigdis that option and therefore forgives her for the choice she makes? So. There's that. I imagine Stendarr hates her for being with a vampire HAHA. And Arkay probably just feels sorry for her, considering all the bullshit he's told Florentius about her. As for Daedra, I know Vaermina fucking hates her because she gives her THE worst nightmares. Molag Bal is also automatically on her shit list and the feeling is mutual. I don't think anyone else cares about her LKJFKLGDKG

✑ Does this character have anything in common with you?

The better question would be what does she NOT have in common with me WHEEZE. I gave her a lot of my physical features and also my anger but like. Anger 100. Violence 100. I love her

✑ If you took their bag and upended it now, what would you find in it?

Wynn would be carrying various gems and makeup and lockpicks and gold and . . . other . . . . ahem. Items. That she says I'm not allowed to list. With a wink. Infer what you will from that

✑ Ignoring time, what Elder Scrolls NPC would they get along with the most? Or the worst?

I would've LOVED for Do'Shavir to have met Modryn Oreyn. I know Modryn is kind of an asshole at first, but then he really grows fond of the player and I just really feel like Do'Shavir and Modryn would be best friends.

✑ What do they believe is their biggest weakness? What do you say is their biggest weakness?

While Rayyfa'szah may be immortal, I think she sometimes deeply regrets it, and therefore finds that her determination and resolve are her biggest weaknesses in the sense that they lead her down the path of this occasionally truly awful existence. I think her biggest weakness is her solitude; she's tried very hard to keep contact with others minimal and doesn't really try to branch out--even when she has Jordis, she doesn't strike me as the type to be very sociable outside of that, which saddens me greatly. Bird horror deserves friends, even if they're not wanted

YESSSSS YES YES YES!!! They're the type to dive head first into projects around the house and just have so much fun doing it and those are Do'Shavir's favourite moments

✑ What does a relaxing night in look like for them?

Cuddling and taking naps . . . maybe some playful wrestling or sparring . . . .

✑ What is their dream home? Do they buy a place together? Who plans the decorations and who does the heavy lifting?

OKAY SO they eventually buy Tundra Homestead together [or maybe they build it . . . . .I haven't decided yet] and it's very much something done TOGETHER They argue about what wood to use and what accents the walls should have and where the kitchen should be and they both just. Love it. Farkas does end up doing a lot of the heavy lifting [Do'Shavir is 5'7. Tiny] BUT YOU KNOW WHAT. THEY LOVE DOING IT TOGETHER ANYWAY THEY ARE MY SOFT LADS AND I LOVE THEM

Senu? Posting a WIP on time?? OUT OF WHIMSY???? Unheard of. I've made some decent progress on the upcoming chapter, yay! But I still lots of evil planned that I'm very excited to get to, hehe. A slow, drawn out exhale flared freckled nostrils, thoroughly vexed. Vigdis had half a mind to turn around and walk out; of course, Agmaer wasn’t there, much to her chagrin. Just how much of her fucking time were they going to waste?

“Where is he now?” Serana asked tentatively. The hunter almost snorted. The vampire had asked a helpful question, for once.

The Khajiit shook his head sombrely. “This one does not know; this one only knows that Agmaer headed towards the northwest.” He looked up, his serpentine eyes pleading. “We cannot disobey Skjor’s orders—but perhaps, as his fellow Dawnguard members, you will find him and bring him back?”

The hunter shut her eyes. Anger brewed faintly in her chest and wrinkled her bushy red brows. Agmaer had already been gone for three days.

“And if he’s dead?” she inquired tersely.

She lifted her eyelids so that her icy gaze pierced Do’Shavir, who flinched and flattened his ears. Terror swirled violently in his eyes; pain cracked across his furry features. Then, his expression hardened. He forced a harsh breath out of his nose, but was otherwise completely silent.

“Then have the human decency to give him a proper burial,” Farkas finally retorted in a low mutter.

Cold ice-blue shifted to clash defiantly against bright silver. In the corner of her eye, gnarled fingers, purple and bloated, rested beside her. The musty scent of death and wood rotted with blood permeated her freckled nostrils—as if she still sat beside his decaying corpse.

Vigdis didn’t know what a proper burial was. After all, how could she? No one had ever taught her how to respect the dead, much less mourn them.

Instead of an answer, the hunter turned her back on them, and walked away.

What does Do'Shavir intend for the Companions going forward now that he's Harbinger?

Oooooo! That's a very good question. Do'Shavir isn't used to be being in a more . . . leadership position. He can lead himself, but he is a little more uncertain when it comes to leading and advising others. He's a lone Khajiit among Nords, which already makes him feel very out of place, but he's also a lot kinder. He's not fiery or the strongest member, which I'm sure caused him some issues at first--however, he's proven to be a very good ear, and very wise. He's the caution that the Companions need after so much revenge and bloodshed against the Silver Hand, and I think his kindness will be something he's praised for even long after he's gone. In other words, I believe he intends to rebuild their outlook on the world, if that makes sense. He wants them to keep their strong sense of honour, but to hone and temper it so they won't be so tempted to fall down the path of revenge and bloodshed again. And that there is no shame in putting down your sword and relaxing every now and then.
