hhhhhiiiii i'm caitlin! and this is going to be rough and choppy because i'm mobile and have had kind of a bad week so i'm treating myself to drinks and dinner then a carnival 😋 but yes. this is my smol bean abigail. she'll respond to abby, abs, or little a. this is the first time she's being credited as key makeup artist, she was already on board as a regular one but her mentor had ducked out of the project and pushed her name. she's a perfectionist and hypocrital (mostly on herself). she's terrifed of disappoing people and deep water. she's talkative and loves meeting new people, she can get a bit motherly and annoyingly protective of those she really cares about though. i'd imagine her sharing the teddy roosevelt quote "talk softly and carry a big stick". she also really likes scary movies and documentaries. and yes, food is here. hit my messenger if you wanna plot.

hey! i’m hayden, and this is gregory. 

Gregory Dearing is labeled as the Idealist, primarily because he’s allowed his fantasies to control every single of his actions. He’s incredibly absent-minded.

Much to the jealousy of his closest friends and family, Gregory typically finds success wherever he goes. The universe just seems to cater to his desires, or at least he’s convinced.

His ego has been the reason he’s lost friendships.

Despite how entitled he can be, he really does attempt to see the best in people constantly.

When he was a kid, his mother would always force him into pageants because of how photogenic he was. And, of course, he thrived.

This led to a brief career as a child actor, in which he played teen heartthrob Nathan Padilla in the soap opera Where the Sun Hits until the shows end. 

Although he’s recognized for this role especially, it is easily the most embarrassing part of his identity, and he’s eager to play another role that might change his reputation.

His filmography is mediocre, but he considers acting to be more of a hobby than a potential career.

He’s been typecasted before, but never as a cop.

After his run on Where the Sun Hits, Gregory briefly put his career on hold to attend college, where he experimented with business; his acting skills proved to assist him as an entrepreneur.

Although Gregory received recognition, he found that his ridiculous past in the television industry somewhat hindered his potential career; his coworkers found it difficult to consider him as their equal, or even remotely credible.

Therefore, when his former agent contacted him about Dead or Alive, he eagerly auditioned.

Wanted connections are currently up in the air, but I think it would be fun to have someone who either worked alongside him in the cast of Where the Sun Hits, or on the crew. I’m open to anything. Please don’t hesitate to message me if you want to plot.

Hello all! I’m always awful at intros, but here it goes: My name is Tyler (she/her pronouns), I’m 23, and I’m from the PST. Random other things about me are that I’m a procrastinator, I want to be a kindergarten teacher, I’m a homebody kind of gal, and I’ve recently been obsessed with kdrama shows. I will hopefully have time tomorrow to put up a starter/reply to other people’s starters and bug you all for plots. Info about Holly/some connection ideas are under the cut.

Holly Choi, 23, playing Luna Zhang, label is the solicitous

The solicitous: full of concern or fear; meticulously careful; full of desire; eager

Character traits: compassionate, flexible, loyal, dedicated, transparent, critical, passive, expedient

She’s always had an interest in males and females, but has never publicly admitted to being interested in females due to her parents and the industry while overseas. 

She was born in San Francisco. Her mom worked in a bakery and her dad worked as an accountant. She’s an only child. 

She was discovered by a South Korean talent agency when she was nine and ended up moving there with her mom. She’d spend the school year over there and came back to the states during school breaks (for the most part). 

She started to burn out from over-scheduling and juggling schoolwork and her mom decided she needed to take a break at seventeen. Holly was against it, but her contract at the time was already up at the time and her mom gave the last word. Because of this, she holds some anger towards her mom. 

Holly finished up high school in the states and then took community college courses, but never transferred to a university. 

She got back into acting when she decided to take some drama classes at the community college she was attending and began going to open auditions. 

Her career in the states is not as populous as the one she had in South Korea, but she’s determined to keep going at it since she wants to be close to home this time around. Mostly she’s done some commercial stints and minor roles in shows/films. Dead or Alive is her first real project in the states. 

She’s hoping Dead or Alive will be the thing that kicks off her career in the states. If not, she’s considering moving back to South Korea to make a comeback there.

Holly is essentially stressed 24/7. She wants to be able to do it all and so she pushes her limits, not realizing how much of a toll its taking on her well-being. Due to this, she tends to be very critical of herself because she wants to do the best job she can and make a good impression on everyone. 

Plots/Connections

Fling; Holly’s never done the whole relationship thing because she doesn’t think she has the time to commit to doing that. If female, she would’ve kept it a huge secret because she’s worried about what other people would think

Best friend; someone she’s worked with on multiple occasions on the sets she’s been in while in the states or from when she was overseas tbh

Crush; Again it’s probably someone she’s worked with before in the past or has at least met in passing, but she’s never really done anything about it

Someone who wants her to loosen up. She just needs someone that’s going to drag her out to have some fun instead of sitting inside obsessing over her lines or future projects

ONE MORE THING I FORGOT

it’s your girl hope back from her hiatus with a new character. okay not new since i’ve played levi before two years ago and i really missed him. more details about him under the cut: 

he’s from new york city. his childhood wasn’t all too terrible besides his inability to apply himself at school. his father was a banker, and his mother used to own a cupcake shop. he had a younger sister by six years named claire, and they got along great. 

this is sort of a secret just because he doesn’t go around sharing this with everyone he meets, but when he was seventeen and his sister was eleven, she never made it home from school. she was kidnapped, and even now, it remains a mystery regarding who kidnapped her and where she might be. 

though at this point since it’s been over ten years since, levi’s sort of accepted the fact that she must be dead. he hasn’t completely let go of the past, but he’s gotten better at working through his issues aka the magic of therapy

for the longest time and sometimes still, levi felt responsible since he was supposed to walk claire home from school usually but hadn’t that day. another reason why he avoids telling people.

losing his sister kind of tore his family apart. his parents fought a lot afterward and eventually divorced. they’re both re-married now, though he hasn’t talked to his dad in years. he’s never been that close with his father, and the distance between them only grew after claire went missing. he has recently in the past three years reconnected with his mom through phone calls and a couple visits. 

went to culinary school around the age of twenty-one after multiple attempts at figuring out what he wanted to do. eventually, he realized the most exciting part of his day was deciding what to make for dinner, and culinary school made the most sense.

after graduating school, he traveled around the united states working at different restaurants as chef or sous chef. he even did an internship in thailand. around a couple years out of school, he received an offer to work as the head chef at a resort in hawaii, which was a dream.

though the actual dream had always been opening his own restaurant one day.

but his second dream of finally falling in love came true because he met emma who also worked at the resort. and they’re still in love two years later.

after some time, he received the opportunity to open up a thai restaurant in la with a close friend of his. emma ended up moving with him. ultimately, the restaurant wasn’t successful, though thankfully not due to his cooking but rather the fierce competition of the la restaurant scene. 

he bounced back relatively quickly though by starting his own catering company. it’s still quite new but so far, running smoothly, and levi’s been learning the business side of things as well. 

the only gigs he’s done so far have been weddings and other smaller parties. so when emma landed the role of amelia, they saw an opportunity and took it. he hopes this will lead to more similar opportunities. and he’s also glad he’ll get to be with emma while she’s filming too.

tl;dr 31-year-old chef and owner of his own catering company. charismatic af. fiercely protective of the people around him because his sister went missing around fourteen years ago. happily taken by emma winslet.

The Stepstool; let’s other people shine / puts other people first before himself

Has always wanted to work on films since he was a kid

He grew up in Michigan. His parents are divorced, and he was raised by his mom. She’s a teacher. He doesn’t know his dad very well, and hasn’t really seen him since he was ten. 

He low key wants to be a screenwriter or a playwright, but still enjoys being a script supervisor since he likes learning about everything that goes on when filming

He is a giant sweetheart, an awkward dork, and tends to stumble over his words if he’s excited or if the person he’s talking to is attractive

He’s idealistic and a romantic, and wants to be in love and all that jazz, but either his work keeps him too busy or he’s too awkward to really express himself so things fizzle out or they think he isn’t as interested in him as they are

He can be a workaholic, but he just wants things to be good for the people he’s working with

He’s only been in one serious relationship in his twenties, and when it ended it broke his heart and took him forever to get over. Since then, he’s been on occasional dates and a few things that lasted a couple of months at a time, but nothing that has lasted for one reason or another

It takes a lot for him to actually dislike a person since he tends to be passive/complacent and hates confrontation
