Oh!!! His Doc Cochrane is so good!
He’s basically my favourite deadwood character! I love him so much, the poor man!

Not only is he my favorite character, but upon re-watching I've noticed he's somewhat of an herbalist, prescribing raspberry leaf to prostitutes and grinding up leaves to help someone combat drug addiction. This only adds to his coolness.
