You’ve sold out your humanity to an imaginary demon. It doesn’t matter that it’s not true - you think it’s true, and you think it’s good.
Waiting to respawn.
Jesus was appalled (Mt 15:3-6, Mk 7:8-13) that they had the gall to start their own tradition - a tradition of not killing disobedient children as the law commanded (Ex 21:15, Lev 20:9, Dt 21:18-21). Sufficiently so that he was convinced that it was more important to kill your children than to wash your hands. Because there should be no mistake: the old Mosaic laws remain in effect... forever. (Mt 5:17-19, Lu 16:16-17)
And have it recorded decades later by anonymous people who weren’t there and who copied off each other.
Of course, the message itself is that you’ll be tortured if you don’t believe the message threatening torture.
And that this grants the Xtian the moral upper hand.
