“ Boîte à documents “ -  Edo Jidai 江戸時代 (1603 - 1867). Laque travaillée en relief, takamakie 高蒔絵, avec de nombreuses feuilles incrustées de feuille d’or. Le ruisseau est décoré en togidashi-maki-e 研出蒔絵 avec utilisation de poudres d’argent et d’or. Dimensions : 15.5 cm × 40.8 cm × 32.8 cm.

Note : Cette grande boîte à documents, chef-d'œuvre en laque, illustre un célèbre poème waka 和歌 de la Période Heian jidai 平安時代 (0794 - 1185)  du courtisan Minamoto no Toshiyori / Shunrai 源俊頼 (1055-1129) sur le thème de la rivière Noji no Tamagawa 野路 の 玉川. La rivière Noji Tama était l’un des Six joyaux de la rivière (Tamagawa 玉川 ) répartis dans tout le Japon. Les six rivières sont devenues un sujet de prédilection des poètes waka et des peintres d’Ukiyo-e 浮世絵. Le Noji Tamagawa dans la province d' Ōmi no kuni 近江国, actuellement préfecture de Shiga-ken  滋賀県, était célèbre pour son arbuste trèfle et pour le beau reflet de la lune dans la rivière.
