Camden Road to Sherwood Estate
Documenting space and place in and around the often overlooked parts of Tunbridge Wells (where I live) in an attempt to get to know the town better and question the social imaginary of my area. It’s often a challenge going out to take pictures as I have to take the dog with me and she likes to be off the lead in the park but on the street I have to keep her on the lead so I only have a few seconds to frame a shot before she gets bored and starts sniffing around and pulling on the lead. In this series I seem to be drawn by stationary vehicles and parking spaces, perhaps unconsciously mirroring the paradox of the journey and the stasis and spaces of the image.
