Day 4: Field research information
Research objective : Observe, define and elaborate on the experience of a transit or non-place, in the context of the Indian railway station.
Aspects to keep in mind: The physical space (structures, informational systems, objects, sub sections) Event or stories related to the space Waiting coping mechanisms Kinds of wait (occupied or unoccupied, definite or indefinite) Types of entities in the scene : permanent or ephemeral Interactions between entities Personal sensory experience Changes in the scenery (over time, pace) Time perception
Documentation expected: Notes, Keywords, Audio clips, sketches, maps, videos.
For exercise on Day 5: Curate 5-10 photos from the day of field research that represent wait and/or any significant aspect of the overall experience on the station. (Printout size of 4*6)
