i snapped and wrote about how much i love dodie’s music

my friend made a post a little bit ago after we saw dodie about how dodie was one of the only artists who made music she truly felt and bonded to and that made me realize how i feel the Exact Same Way. dodie’s songs hold so much meaning to me to the point where sometimes i can’t even listen/sing them cause i get too emotional. in the past few years (5 maybe?) i’ve attached so many memories and emotional states to the lyrics and melodies she’s written

like human and sols reminds me of seeing them live for the first time surrounded by some of my favorite people who i became internet friends with a year prior and never imagined of meeting irl, she/would you be so kind is my literally situation at the moment (and the bridge to she makes me lose my mind), and secret for the mad is attached with a memory from a few weeks ago at dodie’s show hugging my sobbing friend whilst i tried to sing along staring up at dodie.

not to even mention trying to learn absolutely smitten on the ukulele and playing it over and over again

and how paint, social dance, adored by him and little room always hold a special place for preteen me

im not rlly sure what got me to write this i just feel like dodie’s song hit me in a way no other music has and it’s something so special that i needed to write it all down so maybe someone could understand what i mean when i say i Stan dodie

So, my doddler had a snack before bed because she won’t eat unless I am home and I wasn’t with her all day and I’m not sure if she actually ate (sometimes she’ll give in) and she was being such a brat about going to bed because she was thirsty after aforementioned snack and was crawling all over the place instead of laying down and going to bed. I refused to allow her to have a drink because she will pee in the middle of the night.

You were wondering if I spelled toddler wrong. I did not. Don’t even try to tell me that dogs aren’t like toddlers, because this literally just happened thirty minutes ago and she just decided to give up on trying to guilt me into something to drink and go to bed.
