i have been thinking about an exchange i had a lil less than a year ago. we had a client meeting in dc the morning after the nats (go nads!) pull out a miracle. the main client contact (the decider) is a huge nats fan - she came to the meeting in full regalia, still high from the win - hat, sweatshirt, scarf all blazoned with the big w. that morn i met for the first time the new lead partner who was from new york. of course, he had to yap that the best team did not win, and it was a bit tense in the room (he did not know how to read the room). i dunno what got into me but i had to ask who he thought was the best team - of course, he said yankees is the best team and i got the client to laugh when i responded “welll...” but i had to admit that he was right - the best team was obvs the dodgers. i can say tho this year the best team did win the world series!!!
