‘ffion’ means foxglove yn gymraeg, which seemed fitting for the obvious (a fox…. who trained their undominant hand) . foxgloves carry a dual meaning of danger and healing/protection, mirroring much of kevin’s story thus far.

alternatively i do like Caoimhe (Kee-va) in keeping with the C/K theme that seems to run through most girl kevin characterisations. means gentle beloved and handsome/beautiful. it’s also irish, not yn gymraeg so extra brownie points.

could definitely articulate this better in the morning but i think it’s important to remind yourself that artists doubt themselves constantly. their work, their choices, their goals are usually at some point of flux because nothing about art is static. if it was it wouldn’t be a reflection of you. no matter how practiced of an artist someone is, no matter how talented, they will make bad art too. and they will think it’s over and they will question why they dedicated the past twenty years to some incredibly niche unesco protected craft and didn’t invest in stocks in the womb instead. doubt can motivate, doubt can hinder progress, doubt can make you rip your hair out in frustration but the fact that doubt is present proves that you care. and caring is the reason you got here in the first place.

art can be hard. but that’s why it is necessary.

everytime you draw andrew minyard i moan out loud

just finished sobbing over an andrew-centric fic, the first andreil fic i’ve read in almost two years. and when i say it was 34k of reframing my entire perception of this character, holy mother above do i mean it. read the books seven years ago and that was seven years too early. get it now, my apologies, taking down my idgaf about andreil flag.

this is a headcanon that has existed before her canonised ethnicity in TSC. that book was released in 2024, half a decade after i read AFTG. it’s been stated on this account multiple times that i now hc her as mixed? whilst i understand this sentiment, being inuit is still a woc identity? this is MY headcanon that i have made and draw, i post inuk laila for ME and my THREE ntv oomfs, nobody is under any obligation to agree or like it. there is plenty of artists i can suggest who draw her canon design.
