DUCHESS REVIEW || the duchess of cambridge celebrates the duke of edinburgh’s 90th birthday✨
prince philip, also known as the duke of edinburgh, turned 90 on june 10th. two days later, his birthday was celebrated with a service at st george’s chapel, in windsor castle. the event was attended by many family members alongside the duchess and the duke, including the queen, the duke of cambridge, prince harry, and philip’s children, amongst others. after the service, the guests enjoyed a private reception in the state rooms of windsor castle.
for the event, catherine rewore her jane troughton periwinkle blue coat, first worn at the marriage of nicholas van cutsem and alice hadden-paton in 2009. she also rewore the cornflower blue zara dress she first wore the day after her wedding to prince william in april. this was also the first appearance of the late diana spencer’s sapphire earrings, having been modified to suit the new duchess.
