And I Swear To God That The Pain Of My Bleeding Wrists Is Nothing Compared To The Pain That Goes Through My Body When I Miss You.
Mallet to the hours, we are soft with a catch, like broken nails through sweater threads, like fangs behind the chapstick. Once again, these are the days you claim, no matter how they are handed to you. To expect them broken, but still pray the glue will hold. I take the pieces when you offer, no matter how cruel the edges, how wet the promise.

Regret is a knot that I haven’t yet learned to undo. Sometimes it twists on brisk morning walks and sometimes is tightens late in the night. It is as indecisive as the tide on the shore, between coming and going, it will always feel like it’s a little too late.
D.K. // excerpt 2
Your touch is an etching and I am made of the softest stone, the most malleable of materials when it comes to you. I might as well be water, in your glass or in your mouth. Water from your skies; a drop in your ocean or in your eyes.

This is a conquest I only dared imagine. Every day, I grow suspicious of these beautiful dawns. Somehow they do not lie, somehow all of this is real and I don't feel like painting my flesh clear anymore.

And for once, love doesn't sound like your name, but a lot like mine.
D.K. // love like mine
You're being cruel again Sitting up in my bed Before the sun sets. My windows outline you In the colours of warmth. Then, I cannot reach for you. But your fringe falls so beautifully, It breaks my fingers into fists. I won't dare run them through. I can't tell who's moving, Like two trains at a station. If it's me, or if it's you. Chasing fleeting days, You'll fade from me Either way.
