7. How do they physically engage with other people, inanimate objects, and their environment? What causes the differences between these? I think Tress generally tries to not touch people, when possible? he’s kinda obsessive about personal space, and will generally try to maintain his as much as he can? With inanimate objects, when he can, he’ll rely on Mage Hand as much as he can, so as to avoid handling things he can’t be sure are safe. He’ll probably move to having Sartarax help him out there, though. With the environment, he’s very cautious, trying to make as little impact on his surroundings as he can (so as not to be discovered). In general, Tressix doesn’t want anybody having power over him, or finding out the expectations he’s had on him his whole life.
14. What do they care deeply about? What kind of loyalties, commitments, moral codes, life philosophies, passions, callings, or spirituality and faith do they have? How do these tend to be expressed? Tressix’s main care is survival, as is everyone’s in Sacangun, really. About as important, however, is being able to exist without people expecting him to solve problems, just because of his talents. He values freedom as much as he can, but isn’t above dipping on that to live.
His main other tie is his faith to Saresis, Serpent Denmother of the World, a god his family has worshiped since their creation, according to his father. This is more easily seen, as he prays to her every morning, so he can actually use his magic.
21. What kind of relationships do they tend to intentionally seek out versus actually cultivate? What kind of social contact do they prefer, and why? Tressix actually tries to avoid relationships now, after his father’s death, so that nobody will ever expect anything of him, and he won’t let them down by failing to live up to their expectations. So far, the only relationships he actually has are between him and his eidolon, a friendship with @nascimedo‘s Flare, having saved her from planty death, and an encounter with a particular thief...
28. What are they likely to do if they have the opportunity, resources, and time to accomplish it? Why?Tressix’s overarching goal is to disappear entirely, so he can never let anyone down again. He kind of didn’t respond well to the pressures put on him in his home...
35. How and why do they internalize knowledge? What effect has that had on them?Well, given that his strongest knowledge is all borne of traumatic experiences, or historical loss, he kinda has to suffer to know things, apparently, idiot that he is. It’s really kinda fucked with him.
42. I have a question of my own!“tell me about tress's relationship with his eidolon“Tressix has to try and keep Sartarax in check, really. His eidolon’s a Protean, the chaos serpents of eidolon forms, and therefore Tress is devoting energy to keeping Sartarax out of trouble. Despite all that, Sartarax is basically the only person Tressix leans on, so their relationship’s not bad.
