Inko did not flinch as she watched the lawyer go pale as the very conservative judge eyed the cowering man darkly. She didn't flinch as the heat from Endeavour rose. No, she simply kept her chin up high.

Learned her soulmate, a boy of Izuku's age, was being abused enraged her. She wasted no time in applying for custody. Even when Endeavour tried to intimidate her, even when Fuyumi tried to convince Inko it was just a misunderstanding, Inko did not budge.

The law clearly stated a soulmate had priority over the family. A bit of a disgusting law, given the high amount of abuse that an older soulmate could cause, but one Inko took no shame in using. It was a law older than Quirks and held up as sacred.

Endeavour had nothing but the fact that he was blood. He tried to intimidate her, tried to bribe her, and he even purposely chased a criminal into her street as a threat. None of it worked, especially when UA just happened to hire her as an assistant for Recovery Girl.

She was happy Izuku connected her habit of making Katsudon to his friend's headaches. Izuku was thrilled to gain a brother; living at UA in the teacher dorms was a very nice change from their old apartment for the now three-person family.

She honestly couldn't think of a life without the dual-haired boy talking about his conspiracies and eagerly discussing random things with Izuku. Inko never saw a future without Shouto cooking beside her, discovering a passion for it.

She would not back down from having her boys with her for good.
