As if my new avatar wasn’t a clue
Just popping in here to point out my page is going through a transition, and eventually my banner will also be changed (once I can make a new one). I’m still passionate about the same stuff as always, but the big difference - I’m no longer gonna hide what my 2nd greatest passion is (next to One Piece). For a while I never said anything about it, because it’s been hard to be a fan of something when you’re like the only one in the entire freaking state. I know I’m not alone, but... it’d sure be nice to have more friends who’re into it.
What it is: The greatest animated series ever made in France...
The whimsical & awesome fantasy saga known as “Wakfu”! <3
My passion for this show is like the heat of the blazing sun in summer, for how deeply I love everything about it (and I honestly mean that). The art style, animation, epic music (thank you Guillaume Houzé), the world lore (based on the MMORPG that it’s inspired from, and btw - that game is just as wonderful & many of its NPCs appear in the series), the characters (Yugo & Percedal are my major faves), decent character development, the writing, and it’s so darn rare when an OTP gets made canon in a series (also is my supreme OTP - the one above all others from the series I’ve watched / am passionate about). And I’m also very fond of the game that started the entire saga & takes place 1,000 years in the past of the events in Wakfu, called “Dofus”, and loyally play the cellphone version of it (”DofusTouch”) on a daily basis (my username there: “Kazeneko”, proud member of & recruiter for a guild called “The Darksiders” and the server that we’re on is called “Grandapan”).
So... expect for me to gush a lot about Wakfu from now on here on my blog. Especially now that the fandom is slowly being awakened up by the news of Ankama (the folks behind the series) possibly doing a big kickstarter campaign to save the show/create new episodes (they got royally screwed over by Netflix a year ago when they made the 3rd season & things were left on a cliffhanger in the story... so damn painful...). I want so desperately to help spread love of this series and gain it more fans, and honestly I’ve never felt so strongly about something like this before. The Wakfu fandom is “my tribe”, and no matter how far apart we all live... I have much love for every single one of you out there... We’re the “Brotherhood of Wakfu”! United by our love of the ‘World of Twelve’!
P.S. - Forever a Iop at heart, and will always play as one in the games. I’m a warrior with a heart full of courage & the power to help my allies kick ass. <3
