No furniture for me, I guess 3: I'm being bullied
we broadened the dogs’ horizons a bit today
they used to be mostly limited to the main two rooms and the backyard, with occasional forays into the living room or onto the front porch. but my mom wanted to try giving them free rein.
and THAT didn’t work out too well, since the corgis were going ham with the stairs and if we let them carry on it would get to be really bad for their backs. so we blocked the stairs off, and now the dogs have free roam of the entire downstairs.
they’ve sort of calmed down from furiously smelling everything. mostly they seem to appreciate having a racetrack, since when everything is open, the downstairs leads in a big circle.
the cats are not thrilled, but no one’s been eaten yet.
That shadowy blur by his butt is his tail
puck is the first dog we’ve had with half-pricked ears, and he’s reasonably long haired, which means he’s also the first dog we’ve had who can just completely make his ears disappear at will, and every time he does it is the cutest thing ever, but also every time he does it while you’re looking at him straight on, he looks like a worm on a string toy
shit Puckleberry does for me but no one else:
lets me use him as a hand hold to get back to my feet from sitting on the floor
walks so gently on a leash that I can still use my cane
shoves his whole entire very concerned head into my lap whenever my arthritis flares up
lets me wrap my arms around him to hug him like a life-sized plushie
cuddles me on the furniture
follows me around the kitchen like a duckling
a Good Boi
Me, swinging a squeaky spider on a rope around while four dogs get into a mosh pit around me for it: we need a tether ball
multi-dog zoomies, when one is a very small puppy and the rest are THREE grown ass herding dogs?
fucking hysterical
