Garden
This was made back in the first week of December before things got super hectic. This was a digital painting test to try out some new brushes and techniques that I picked up from watching speedpaint videos and looking at digital paintings up close. I’ve still got a lot to learn but I’m gettin there owo
Eventually.
Here’s a tiny Gif of the painting process under the cut
Gimme that mistletoe smooch 😏😏😏 for the merlos
mistletoe mayhem
He lets her sniff the mistletoe first; her interest piqued the moment he’d picked it up off the counter. There’s a wag of her tail, but he doesn’t let her take it. Instead, he holds it up and her gaze follows; nose lifted into the air, even as he lowers his face close to her own.
“Ailsa.” Acknowledgement granted in the few thumps of her tail. “Kisses.” She doesn’t even drop her attention away from the mistletoe above, before his face is met by her snout— wet nose and a wet tongue, leaving eager dog kisses across his face before snapping back into attention; gaze kept on the foliage as though it were her treat.
He smiles, pets her before moving to Stuart who curiously sat, watching their interaction.
He lets Stuart sniff the mistletoe (an action that ends up with Stuart rubbing his cheek against the stems, purring happily as he did so), before holding it up over Stuart’s head.
“Stuart.” He hears the low rumble of purring, “Kisses.” There’s a sound, less of a meow; Stuart simply leaves. The look of disappointment on Q’s face must’ve been telegraphed, because, not soon after, Ailsa’s got her snout pressed against Q’s mouth the moment Stuart leaves.
“Good girl, Ailsa.” He smirks and happily kisses her forehead.
