What precautions should you take before bringing your dog to Thanksgiving?

Before bringing my dog to Thanksgiving, I’ve learned the hard way that preparation makes all the difference. Now, I always check with the host first to make sure pets are welcome and to ask if anyone attending has allergies or is uncomfortable around dogs.
