understanding the people dave was close with was just another way to help dirk understand the other better. not to mention, since they were all living in the same world together now -- might as well get to know everyone else than avoid. he wanted to make friends with everyone. dirk had spoken to jade before, but only briefly. “ Thanks for having me over, I’m guessing Dave and Karkat aren’t around right now? ” the three of them lived together, which he thought was admirable. while dirk on the other hand lived alone.

Y-You shouldn’t be here.. y-you’ll get... hurt..!” Pain rocked every inch of Steven’s body as he tucked his hands into his body, not wanting to look down at his fingers. already twisted into terrible claws. He’d been reminded rather severely of when he’d turned into a cat monster, but... this was worse. Much worse.

“ it’s not like i asked to be ... here . on the moon . at the same time i can’t help but call this home now . after my time is up , i don’t know what’s going to happen . ” there was no home on earth to go back to . and she very well couldn’t tell her friends ... how shameful would that be ? telling the kids next door that their supreme leader was homeless . the moon was her home , regardless of age .

“ i have a hypothetical question for a hypothetical situation that in no way needs to come true. this question is for science. in what filed? well that doesn’t matter. say we got some sort of a pet. or one of us maybe wanted a pet. and say that pet was a cockatoo. and say you were asked if we could get said cockatoo. what would you say? ” dave was really only asking this because he’s been watching bird videos again.
