During the 10 days of competition for the 2019 IAAF World Championships in Qatar, I walked many miles and climbed 1000s of stairs while carrying pounds of camera equipment. Muscle fatigue, inadequate sleep, dehydration, none of this matters when the adrenaline kicks in and you think of a different angle to possibly get a good image. Now that I think about it, the journey is part of the reward . I love the memories of me climbing stairs, alone with my breath, sweating, running through corridors in the stadium, finding the quickest route, seeing people along the way, then finding my spot, deciding which lens to use, camera settings,etc..
