It astonished Hel that most forests felt like home. Every single time she stepped into the shadow of the forest she was reminded of her childhood. She remembered running through the trees and ducking through the underbrush in an attempt to keep one step ahead of her brothers during a chase. It was so strange that even now it made her want to dart through the trees, chasing sunshine that poured through the trees.

Hel walked through the trees, content to be silent and listen to all that surrounded her. Nothing here could hurt her, at least not permanently so she had no need to worry. She simply allowed herself to exist and to be present in the moment.
