doktorwer requested eleventh Doctor/ten (either gen or slash).
This is an AU take on The End of TIme.
There was only so long he could ride in the TARDIS alone, bouncing from one adventure to the other. This regeneration seemed particularly needy, particularly desperate for adventure and companionship and the promise of life or death.
doktorwer replied to your post: Just read Issue #1 of AssimilationSquared
1 was so Who-centric. But have read 2 and 3 and so far Riker hasn’t had a chance. The ponds get introduced as husband and wife. Sorry.
Too bad. The writers missed a great opportunity for mischief. I didn't mind all the Who, but I'm looking forward to more Trek in 2.
Everyone, thank you so, so much for your help on my thesis! Like I said, I haven't really been outside the world of academia in a long time, so I've been really lost about where to begin. But I have a much better direction for my project now, and I can't wait to get to reading your recommendations!
My current list:
Song of Ice and Fire 1, Game of Thrones -- George R R Martin
Kingkiller Chronicles 1, Name of the Wind -- Patrick Rothfuss
Fever Series 1, Darkfever -- Karen Moning
Neverwhere -- Neil Gaiman
Warriors 1, Into the Wild -- Erin Hunter
Chaos Walking, Knife of Never Letting Go -- Patrick Ness
Outlander Series 1, Outlander -- Diana Gabaldon
After a lot of research, I think I want to limit my search just to books that are intensely popular, ie New York Times Bestsellers; books that have been released/gained popularity within the last five years; and books that are just aimed towards adults. I think YA has a much higher tolerance and interest in scifi/fantasy as a genre itself, and so I'd like to take that variable out, since I'm more interested in what has led to the resurgence of popularity in scifi/fantasy.
But thank you so, so much to everyone who suggested sources! And if anyone has any more suggestions, please please please let me know!
