“Any place that’s haunted...? If y’got the the time, Spikemuth’s a fair ways from ‘ere but got the general vibe. Th’ Slumbering Weald’s just the next town over, but, and no offense ma’am, deliberately fucking with the fae ain’t anything you’re comin’ back peachy keen from. If it’s just ghosts your after, there’s Yamask here. And I got a Golurk hangin’ ‘round here somewhere.”

“There you are, Hiina-chan.” Kichō waited for the girl to get as close as she could before she unleashed whatever it was she had been sneaking up on Kichō to do. A good play, but it was hard work for one of the living to pass unnoticed by ghosts attuned to the presence of a heartbeat. “Very well done. Froslass almost didn’t sense you this time.”
Froslass spun around Kichō with a dinging laugh, covering its mouth with a hand. It was important to give Hiina’s confidence a boost. “Have you been doing well?”

“Hey, come on. They get paid to clean up, but that doesn’t mean you gotta go and make extra work for ‘em.”
He only worked maintenance for, what, a month or so? But the messes people could leave behind was fucking ridiculous. If he was in a position to complain, he would have asked for a raise, but room and board in a lab was a pretty sweet gig in and of itself. / @dokuhiime

“Okay... You were after the Teddiursa, right?” At this point Takatora is sure both he and Hiina would be content with any prize, The Teddiursa was the one that drew Hiina’s eye, however, and by all the gods that was the one she was going to walk away with after so much grief and frustration.
Lampent followed the movements of his hand against the glass and phased into the machine. The doll rose as though suspended by its middle, limbs and head hanging down as it neared Takatora’s awaiting palm. It bumped against the glass.
In hindsight, he should have realized this would happen.
