Knights are known to be eccentric and known to bend the rules in their favor. Just be careful, for all your charisma, there is a limit to how far the truth will get you. Will you bend your morals just like the truth? Or will you stay your course, upon your trusty steed?

ABILITIES

Aggro Draw: What it says on the tin. Draws the attention and attacks of enemies to protect teammates and give them time to heal, withdraw, or retaliate.

Mag. Shield: Creates a shield of energy. The shield can be as long or thick as he needs, but its effectiveness lowers the larger the area it has to cover.

Dog Sense: Has a weird affinity with dogs. Wait, is that a wolf?

STORY

From a country where all noble children are brought up as contenders for the throne. Leroy travels the land to gain experience and allies alike. His wanderings have him travel and fight side-by-side with others often. Despite (or perhaps because of) his goal of being king, Leroy works well in a team environment and is quick to praise others for a job well done. He follows orders well...if he considers them worth following.

Leroy places the well-being of the common people above the wishes of his employers or the completion of a quest. If he has sufficient reason, he will turn his back on those he is partnered with and go his own way.

What was that thing the old man was always saying? Youth was wasted on the young? The fact that Roy still seemed chipper as a Chimchar was certainly something. If he wasn’t afraid of dislocating his shoulder again, he’d kill to pull on his arms and pop his back. Shige took to leaning on the doorframe, afraid of rooting to a chair if he actually sat down. 

“That’s perfect, thanks.” Caffeine was the best invention in the mainland. “Any music’s fine as long as it doesn’t have Wooloo bleats as an instrument.” 

“Just say you don’t like any real Galaran music, why don’t you?” Roy rolled his sleeves to his elbows to wash his hands. Nan would kill him if he got mud on the kettle again. She’d left the radio on the jazz station, and Roy hummed along with the song as he lit the stove.

Maybe it was the oldies? They overlapped sometimes.

On consideration, the Wending Wood probably fucks with Roy more than it does the average person. The tales of the forest disorienting people who enter it and rearranging itself are true, and those effects happen sooner to Roy. Like, he’ll take a couple steps in and boom the entrance is gone. He likely gets nauseous and develops headaches/migraines to boot.

If he ever set out with the knowledge and intention to find Leroy’s resting place, however, the forest would lead him straight there.

Boltund sat at the door, realized neither of Roy’s grandparents were in, and promptly scampered into the house. Roy automatically reached for the radio on entering. His grandmother usually kept it on when she was home, and the farmhouse felt empty without it.

“Feel free t’change it if y’want. Black tea okay?”

Hanoverian Cavalry Officer’s Sword, c.1830-1837

Slender fullered Damascus steel blade, inscribed “Eisenhauer” on the obverse. Symmetrical iron bar hilt with pierced shell-guards, struck on the obverse with crown/Saxon steed, the reverse crown/“W”, fishskin grip with silver wire wrap and iron grip strip, finger loop. Iron scabbard with two movable suspension rings, attached the remains of a hanger with silver lion head buckles. Length 110 cm.

This is a stunning take on the British “Gothic” hilt which is associated with the Pattern 1822 (and 1845) Infantry Officer’s Sword and the Pattern 1827 Rifle Officer’s Sword. This sword has a symmetrical guard as opposed to the asymmetrical guard of British “Gothic” hilts, and substitutes Hanoverian emblems of the crowned horse and the crowned W (presumably for for William IV). William was King of the United Kingdom and Hanover.
