It was a quiet day in the shamshaw mafia. Normally kori would hate that, but right now kori embraced it for the time being. There wasnt anything to do at the moment besides think

Loyalty

A word and feeling that kori expected from each of her pack mates, especially from the ones closest to the mob boss himself Kori.

But something was bugging her, specifically one member in particular. One that goes by the strange name of Tall. Kori just couldn't place down what makes her tick, what makes her so damn loyal. After all everyone is loyal for a reason, but for some ungodly reason kori couldn't pin down Tall's reason.

It wasnt for power, Tall had plenty of that.

It wasnt for safety for shes shown time and time again that shes was a one woman army.

It wasnt for fame, Tall absolutely hated the spotlight.

It wasnt for money since she hasn't even touched her bank account since she got here.

It wasnt for the fun of it like for ryes case.

So why? Why was tall so loyal to a fault!? For fucks sake she even died for them and when she came back, she walked herself back into the mafia. If that's not true loyalty kori wouldn't know what is.

Kori couldn't help but respect tall, she was incredibly selfless even if it negatively impacted her, she always tried to help.

He sighs and groans rubbing his soft felt face into his hand and pressed an intercom button on his desk.

"Tall are you free?" She asked with a semi tired voice

"Of course little lamb, what seems to be the problem" Talls voice responds almost immediately, she sounds a bit chipper.

"Come to my office, I would like a word with you" kori calmly stated

"Aight I'll be there in a jiffy!" She says before the line cuts

"....jiffy?" He wonders

A moment passed and a soft knock was heard on the door before tall enters, she briefly pauses tasting the emotion in the air and looking down at her boss

"What's your question" she cocks her head, it was cute in a way

"Why are you so loyal" he asked, almost mimicking her actions

"Be a bit weird if I wasnt innit?" She quips back

"Tall" kori warned, he wasnt in the mood for talls philosophical riddles, she just wanted a straight answer

"Fine, its because you deserve it. You've treat my flock nicely before I got here, that earned my respect and in turn my loyalty" she replies

He pauses, that was it? Then he chuckles softly, she cant believe that he keeps forgetting that tall is a very simple person and that theres no need to complicate things.

"Is that all" she asked

"Of course friend, you may go" he answered still chuckling

Tall left the room smiling and kori waved. He leaned back into his chair and looked at the ceiling.

He has something the one eyes could never have
