I made some spices for my pantry/shelf.
I found a pretty great island.
I bought one I thought would work great and I loved it in the store but didn’t love it as much once I got it home and tried it in the house. It was too short and just...didn’t work like I thought it would. So this time I took her with me and tried her next to the shelves in person to test the height. (It was kinda a big deal for me since I’m so weird about taking her out in public but I was pretty proud of myself)
The fit isn’t *perfect* because in order to not squish her between the island and the pantry I have to hang the island over the doll house shelf a little, but that’s okay. I don’t plan on putting a lot of stuff on the island and when it’s not in use there is enough room to push it more into the house so it isn’t hanging over.
Okay so this is remodel number...uh...6? 7? On the second floor of my doll house. I don’t know I’ve lost count at this point. Anyways, I’ve decided to try another kitchen. I turned a shelf into a pantry. I flipped it around and used the greenery to cover up where it’s supposed to hang on the wall. I’ve also wrapped battery operated lights around garland and hot glued it in place.
*as a side note be careful when doing this because my glue gun was melting the greenery*
Which way do you like the stove/sink? Against the same wall or perpendicular? There is a big gap that I can’t really do anything with if they aren’t side by side but I think in the other gap between the pantry and the sink I could put a cute shelf. I also think I want a kitchen island (like a narrow but kinda long and tall wooden table) I also think it’d be cute to set up some of my doll cameras/recording equipment in there to make it look like the set of a cooking show. I don’t know. It also it going to get a new background/wall, the stripes aren’t staying.
The pantry idea came about because I thought it’d be cute to have another way to display all my 5 surprise mini brands...
The stove and sink are part of the set that my fridge is from in my other kitchen
(I did do a lot of back and forth if I should paint them or not...but there were scratches a good bit of rust (they are metal)...I mean I felt so bad covering up the disney but in the end I did make the decision to spray paint them pink)
I haven’t decided if I want to paint details on them yet or not. As of right now the plain pink with the chrome doesn’t bother me...
So I was looking at a wooden storage box (not this one) last week while I was there and told myself I couldn’t get it until it was on sale...and guess what was on sale this week? Bingo. So I went back for it and $100 later...I really shouldn’t be allowed in craft stores for a while. (I got the other one too in case you were wondering)
Doesn’t this make the cutest pantry?
Kinda wanted a Mini-Kitchen for the miniverse stuff, and while I do have their kitchen, I wanted a fridge too, and while I want the miniverse one,it was sold out very quickly AND it costs 40 bucks, so one thing led to another, and I found these at Soriana (kinda like Target?) and while I have seen this kitchen before, it was always in pink or pink accents, so I waited until they had a decent discount and I got them.
They had 40% off last weekend so I bought the kitchen series AND a bathroom and Laundry room for 999 pesos, about 50 dollars
I love the color and the height
There are things I like and things I dislike, but overall, I'm happy with what I got. I just need to take off some of the stickers, and maybe change their background.
The sets are slightly taller than the guy, but I wasn't able to take a picture correctly to show this, some of them have electronic play, and all of them have working drawers for storage.
The toilet is detachable haha, and everything is in a standalone "tower", so they can be rearranged as you please. I think I can still get the minibrands one if I see it cheap, and use this one as a cabinet.
For some reason they packed one Laundry thing with one bathroom thing, and not pictured, but the fridge was also available on its own, as was the microwave thing.
Here are the snow white kitchen pieces. They are the perfect size. I just want a pink kitchen from the 50s.....not snow white and yellow. I just feel like a terrible person if I paint over them.
