Small theory that doesn't need a lot of thinking: I think that we''ll find out about the note in the doll during Mara's dream when she's in New York with Noah. It just makes sense that it would be revealed through a dream since the paper's been burned by a fire and there's no way of getting it back.

I like this. if Mara does have genetic memories or whatever, maybe the memory of what the note was is bleeding into her dreams. I feel like Mara thinks Noah has a lot of answers since he has been aware of his power for longer and does/pays people to do a lot of research/surveillance, so it's understandable that she would dream of him bringing her answers, especially since she discovered and lost the note while with him.
