Also I have been just incredibly autistic about fish lately, of all things to firmly hyperfixate on.
Like standing in my house Jason Vorhees style deep breathing looking at my art supplies because I NEED to paint a fish despite whatever plans I had.
So after months of this I grabbed everything and painted a rather huge and very colorful Crappie with metallic acrylic paints, on Bristol board. It's very shimmery in person.
Recently I wanted that shimmer but in 3D so I grabbed some model magic and made an arowana and a dollar sunfish, a local and very beautiful little fish I caught recently on a micro hook. Going to paint and varnish them to see how they look.
I took up microfishing just to catch things and look at them, then put them back. Turns out we have beautiful iridescent fish everywhere and the whole world is full of shimmering glittering beautiful things that live just out of view.
