Seriously not enough dollification focused on masculine subs.
Waking up in the middle of the night. Usually I can't stay still and always roll around. Somehow though, I'm on my back. My arms are at my side, hands shoulder width apart. I'm staring straight up and I can feel that my legs are spread (=empty head). I have headphones on... I don't remember wearing them when I went to sleep? And the bed is made, I'm laying on top of the tucked-in blankets. The cool air makes my skin more sensitive, and just for an instant I imagine what I must look like from above. A doll in its box, tidy and tempting. There might as well be a "Try me!" sticker.
There are so many ways that box could look, having me posed like that. Decorated in red hearts maybe, listing all my traits and malleability as a ready-made boyfriend. Or maybe there's a uniform included in the package to dress me up as your personal soldier boy, prepared to respond to an order no matter how strenuous it is. Perhaps there's a suit, and you send me off to do whatever job you decide—it doesn't really matter and I won't remember by the time I come back, but I'll go and come back just like a wind-up toy.
All these possibilities pass in my thoughts in less than a second together before I realize I have an empty head, 'cause my legs are spread. Then I drift back to sleep, a blank expression over me as I take in what the headphones are saying without resistance.
