I miss you Lizzy.

I don’t quite remember what our relationship was, but whatever we were to each other, you were the best drone I could ever ask for in my messed-up life.

You stuck with me despite me being infected by the Solver and having to do… less than moral things to survive. You let me come to your house to get out of my memory-stained one, even though I got oil stains on your pink sheets. You always laughed it off with an “anything for my bestie!” even though I knew how hard it would be to clean. We sat and gossiped about our classmates together, filling out your little Mean Girls inspired burn book. We watched movies every weekend and yelled at your brother to leave whenever he came in and interrupted our dates.

We just spent time together as normal friends as the world crumbled around us, and it was incredible.

You were very much a grounding force for me, Liz. Whenever I had one of my moments, you were always there to help bring me down from it with your sass and no-nonsense attitude. You held me and kept me from hurting anyone or myself, and fought my self-deprecating thoughts with some of the funniest “logic” I had ever heard; it was so absurd that it pulled me out of my head, and it was exactly what I needed.

I never really told you just how much I appreciated you, and I regret it so much. Lizzy, I love you with all of my robotic heart, and I wish, I wish that we could be together again.
