I laughed ahah thank you   Well, as I’ve mentioned it already somewhere on my Muse page here, Sylvi is a keeper of lost and abandoned souls, he cares about the dead souls that belong to his forest. The forest where he lives is like a large cemetery, but you won’t find there any gravestones. It’s a blooming cemetery. Basicly, everyone who dies (or commits suicide) on the territory of the forest is considered lost by Sylvi and he takes care of their souls and bodies (he turns bodies into the trees and settles their souls inside these trees; and these trees are called ‘sepulchral trees’).  Of course... as you can see, Sylvi often deals with the ghosts, corpses and all kinds of grim stuff. So I can say that he shows sincere and profound kind of love to the things that are considered ugly or not common/normal/good by people. But of course, there are quite many reasons as to why Sylvi does this and feels like this. I won’t reveal these reasons unless you would like to know.  And, finally, as for Lilirose - YES. I mean, YES he cares for the dead lost souls and also for the lonely lost living souls. So I really see him caring for little and precious Lilirose. However, he cannot leave his forest (he’s very insecure about this). So may be she’ll encourage him to finally visit the town or at least be the reason for him to make such a step. I mean, he spent more than 500 years in the forest, ok, he needs new experience ahah

Sylvi is a nature spirit, the heart of the forest. Unfortunately, he doesn’t have favourite things in nature, he’s less human at this point. He adores all flowers, that’s true.

However the forest itself always associated him with the red rose (that’s why when Sylvi walks around the woods, he’s followed by the bloom of exquisite scarlet flowers). To the boy it’s fairly unknown whether such association is based on the color of his cloak or is it something else. There are quite many variants as to WHY in the eyes of the forest Sylvester is precisely the red climbing rose. But he never knew for sure. Though it doesn’t mean Sylvi is fond of roses only. As I’ve said, he loves ALL flowers equally. The roses are simply more connected to him.

Is it just pigs specifically? Can you name your dog Napoleon? 

I wonder if the mangaka knew that. He just seemed to have Harima name his pets after different figures in history, but mostly artists. Napoleon does kind of stand out.
