One of Alice’s biggest goals was to create a doll that was sentient and capable of moving and thinking on its own.
And to her surprise, from means unknown, that goal had been achieved. Alice had one day awoken to find Shanghai fluttering about in her room, curiously poking at the many objects and decor that were littered about in her room. Unsurprisingly, the dollmaker was… Rather shocked. Just yesterday, she had been doing research, and nothing more on possible spells, or enchantments, or just about anything within her range of abilities to use in achieving her goal.
She did not do a thing the day before, and yet… Here was one of her most cherished dolls, alive and sentient.
Now, this had been going on for a while. She was still, to this day baffled by how her doll became the way it did, but at this point, she didn’t even bother to question it.
There are just some things that are better off not questioned.
And... Today, she would come to have another shock of her life, after coming home with her groceries and storing them before heading up to her room. A surprise that would likely make her faint, right on the spot.
Of course, Alice had no idea what she was about to encounter... Nor did the being that she was about to encounter. To Alice, it was just another ordinary day.
With Shanghai behind her, Alice proceeded to head up to her room to study...
