Sinful Sundays: CHER-ry Cabaret
March 1st at Cherry Cola’s Rock ‘N’ Rolla Cabaretand Lounge—Sinful Sundays: CHER-ry Cola Cabaret It was a full night of Cherapalooza at Cherry Cola’s tonight, complete with a host brought back from the dead (yes, we’re talking about Sonny). Mysterion, dressed in full costume, delivered Sonny and Cher related jokes all night long lighting up the stage with his leopard print vest and bright red pants.
The first act of the evening was the talented Azura Maneater who performed a fabulous redition of Cher’s “Welcome to Burlesque” from the 2010 musical “Burlesque” starring Cher and Christina Aguilera. Azura Maneater totally killed it not only with her stunning vocal performance but with her transparent black lingeri and seductive moves. A strong start to a magnificent show.
Next on stage we saw Dolly Berlin in her first of two performances. She graced the stage wearing a naught nun outfit and wiggled her way into the audience’s subconscious with her twisty hips and white fringe shake to Cher’s “Half Breed” from her album of the same name.
In the second act Berlin made jaws drop with her liquid smooth moves to “Bang Bang”. It was hard to keep your eyes off the leather outfit and sparkling red pasties.
Laura Desiree wowed the audience with her performance to the classic “Dark Lady”. She wore an ornate red bikini and silk cape, topping off the outfit with a beautiful red rose headband that thrust her glistening eyes into the spotlight. Between the expression on her face and the gyrations of her body this performance was as hypnotic as it was sexy.
The Go-Go dancer, Betsy Swoon was a memorable half time show in her green fringe two piece and knee high white boots. She kept her moves classic and bounced about the stage for a good 20 minutes while the soundboard and performers prepared for the second act.
Charlie Quinn danced to the popular hit “Believe”. Quinn did a great job not only with her remarkable white costume and wig but with an incredible energy that was contagious, leaving the audience begging for more.
The final act was a karaoke champ and mime named Kate Mior who not only sang her heart out but set the place on fire (kind of literally, she handed out sparklers) as she took it all off. Her pants won most memorable exit as they flew onto a nearby table smashing the drinks(not that anyone minded!). An unforgettable and fantastic set. The show was produced by the brilliant and adorable Dotty Dangerfield. Can’t wait to see what Sinful Sundays is going to give us next week at Sinful Sundays Get’s Frenched!
