🐬First impression: "SHE'S HERE!!! OMG, SHE'S HERE!!!"
🐬Impression now: "I want her to be happy so badly. She deserves it!" Still love her.
🐬Favorite moment: I actually have two for her. The first is when she hugs Kaldur. Second, the scene in 'Unknown Factors' where she can be seen swimming with Sha'lain'a and Calvin. SO PRECIOUS!!
🐬Idea for a story: You know what, I've been meaning to write more for my Aquafam, especially for Dolphin. Maybe a backstory for her? What was her life like before she became Dolphin?
🐬Unpopular opinion: I don't know if it would be 'unpopular' (I don't see it talked about a lot, so I guess it would be), but I just think she's beautiful. Before and after her transformation. The dark hair suits her as does the white hair. She reminds me of Kida (who is my favorite Disney Princess/Queen).
🐬Favorite relationship: Of course, I love her and Kaldur's relationship. It's just so wholesome. And with Sha'lain'a and Calvin. Dolphin got herself good parents and a brother during her fifteen minutes of screentime.
🐬Favorite headcanon: Okay, I don't see a lot of headcanons for her by others, but for this version of her, I lowkey think she and Wyynde have some competition for Kaldur's attention. Like the 'boyfriend vs younger sister' competition. They have those days where they're like "Who can hold Kaldur's attention the longest?" Or "Who came make him laugh first?"
Ooh, that right there could be another story idea to work with.
I'm sure it's clear I have a soft spot for Dolphin still.

If some the Aquafam played Among Us, it would be ironically amusing that Kaldur got the Imposter role and he is just "Oh really? Wow, I infiltrate an evil organization one time..." and he just stays salty about it. The whole time they're playing he actually tries to get voted out, but everyone is like he's using reverse psychology or he's just trying to save the 'real' imposter. Like...
La'gaan: "Alright, who killed Garth?"
Kaldur: *without missing a beat* "Me. I did it."
Garth: "I doubt. We're best friends."
Dolphin: "I think Wyynde did it. He's sus."
Wyynde: "I don't like him, but it wasn't me."
La'gaan: "But I saw you by his body."
Wyynde: "I was passing by! I just finished in electrical!"
Kaldur: "Yeah, I know this because I was venting and killed Garth myself."
Dolphin: "You don't have to take up for your boyfriend, Kaldur. Wyynde is the imposter."
La'gaan: "Everyone for Wyynde?"
And they all vote for Wyynde except Kaldur would vote for himself or pass, but Wyynde still gets voted out. The game goes like this forever and Kaldur wins reluctantly.
I still can't believe I started this blog (2018) because I had a headcanon that Dolphin and Kaldur would be besties if they met and look!

La'gaan: I let my feelings get the best of me. Dolphin, you know you're my favorite.
So I started watching Young Justice again and um.... DOLPHIN IS IN THE SHOW?
DID I PREDICT THIS?!

Odd Habits
Sometimes, Kaldur just wakes up in the middle night and goes into the kitchen, doesn't even turn on the light because he has night vision and he just spots Dolphin sitting on the counter or even in the corner eating out of a can of pineapples, nods at her and then goes back to his room. Seconds later, he hears La'gaan, Garth or even the now added Wynnde scream because they're not used to Dolphin doing this.
