July 29th
This past week was the last week of summer camps! We were all pretty happy that it was over because it has been pretty stressful at times. I know that when we're all bored next week, though, we're all going to miss it. We had shave ice on friday to celebrate.
I leave 2 weeks from Wednesday! I'm getting all sentimental about everything here and I'm trying to squeeze in all the things I still wanted to do. Yesterday we went to a secluded beach, and next week I'm shadowing HOT for the last time. Even 3 months wasnt enough time to enjoy everything on the island! I'm sure I'll be back sometime on a vacation though. I have to visit my favorite dolphins!
Speaking of dolphins I decided who I'm getting my picture with! I was leaning toward Kawili Kai, but then I realized that the backstage pool that she's in isn't very visually appealing. So I decided that I wanted a dolphin in the Cove pool because it's a nicer background. So I picked Hi'iaka and my second choice is Kekaimalu. The pictures are sometime next week! I'm really excited.
This week at work I'm doing "dolphin ID camp" with Tara and Christina. They want to learn some facts about the dolphins because the kids always ask, plus it's just nice to know their names. So it's going to be a crash course on ID-ing dolphins, and I made a Dolphin Directory with pictures, ages, and facts. It's going to be super fun. (;
