Shaman Ghost & Dolphus came down to the wire together in the Pimlico Special!
Dolphus set a solid pace and fought on gamely in the stretch, but couldn’t hold off the hard-trying Shaman Ghost. The stablemates were more than 7 lengths clear of Conquest Windy City back in 3rd.
Shaman Ghost has had an amazing start to the season; he was a solid 2nd to Arrogate in the G1 Pegasus Cup, a clear winner in the G1 Santa Anita Handicap, and now a winner of the G3 Pimlico Special.
Dolphus is a nice looking half-brother to the great Rachel Alexandra. His big performance in the Pimlico Special was his 2nd and by far his best try in graded stakes company.
