Dom holds his bag over his shoulder as he stands outside the front door of his and Monica's place. DJ is at soccer practice and Audrey is out with her friends, or so he was told. He knew Trudy or Voight would tell him if either one was in trouble, hurt or had been picked up by one of them. Right now, his focus was on how to tell Monica that Ryan and Evie were both back in town.

Dom had known since last night and had stayed late at the station to finish up some paperwork, but also stayed late to try and figure out how to tell his wife about their son and granddaughter, which is the situation he was currently in.

He must've been staring into space for a while now because the next thing he knows the front door is opening and Monica says his name. Dom blinks a couple of times and when he looks at her, he smiles a bit. "Monica... We need to talk."

"And I'm no fan of your wife, but I'm sure you don't want either of us throwing hands in a public place and causing a scene." You reach out to touch Dom's cheek. "I don't regret the time we spent together. I just think we should end this for good now."

He didn't want to meet her in a public place but knew she picked the place so he wouldn't make a scene. He turns to face her, frowning a bit at her. "Des." He starts but is cut off as she continues to speak. Dom shakes his head, not ready to just walk away. Him and Monica were still estranged and no matter how hard he fought she'd just bring up Florida again and the times he worked nonstop and had no time for her.

"Please, i'm not ready for this to end. I'm ready to fight for you.. For us." He feels a bit embarrassed to be begging her not to end the affair but at least he's not throwing things or making a scene like most people would. "We can work this out." He says, standing up and pushing himself away from the counter.

Unsure if she is telling the truth or just teasing him after he said he was too old to actually catch someone's eye. He hums a bit, looks her over, and then stops on her face. Dom trails his finger up along her ribs before moving his finger to trail up and down her arm as he kisses her shoulder. He scoots closer to her, resting his chin on her upper arm as he runs his finger up and down her arm. "Us being apart just about killed me, Monica." He whispers, leaning down to kiss her cheek and then her neck. "But we don't have to live like that anymore. You don't have to live without me, dear. I'm right here and I'm never going to leave you again."

He's sitting on the back step of the ambulance with his fire helmet sitting on the stretcher behind him. He got hit with some shrapnel just moments ago while shielding Novak with his body after something had exploded. Violet was looking over another firefighter who had also gotten hurt. "I'm okay, Novak. Are you okay?" He asks, the spot under his eye was throbbing but he could still see.
