Once a soldier always a soldier

Rose had felt she had enough of this nonsense. She was sick of the smiles, the laughter, the promises that everything would be ok. Dom Pyro had lied to her. He had kidnapped her friend all for some sickened girl that thought she was a queen.

"I healed his wound and he went behind my back!"

No one believed in her. Rose was just an extra in their little plan. They thought she couldn't take care of herself. No one remembers she was once a soldier for Charlemagne, for STORM. 

Rose grit her teeth. "Stupid...traitors...I'll show them!"

She marched over to a wardrobe in the corner of her small two bedroom home. She flung open its wooden doors revealing her old, dusty Strike Squad armor. The small girl smirked as old memories flooded her. 

"It's a little dusty, but it'll do." Rose grumbled as she swiped away cobwebs and dirt. Strike Squad armor was tougher than steel, but so much lighter than a knight's armor. She pulled it off the manikin it was strapped to in exchange for strapping it onto her own small frame.

Before Rose slipped on the chest and back pieces she attached her medical kit to it. After taking care of Dom Pyro she'd go for Jinja then Bren. She'd need the kit for herself and possibly others she'd find. Poor Bravo...she had only seen him yesterday, defenseless and full with child. 

Rose walked over to the gun and the tranquilizer darts filled with her makeshift concoction that would either cure Jinja and Bren or kill them depending if her educated guess was correct. They were out of time. She had no choice. Dom's betrayal to her had only made it worse.

Rose loaded all the darts in the gun. Turning off all the lights she kicked a chair to face her front door but give her a view of all her home's windows as well. Dom Pyro was a hunter and would know all kinds of ways to get into her home. She plopped into the chair, gun propped against her legs but held firmly by in her small hands. 

Dom Pyro would return. She still held the potion in her possession. He'd get what he came for alright. Right in the gut. 

Rose's eyes turned into icy orbs of hate. 

"No more mercy."
